REPORTS:

Morford- There is a gang member living in the apartment building on Franklin
St. that is harassing kids in the building. Residents must call the Sheriff’s Office.
Request that the speed sign be out up on 30A hill.

Helmin- He is still getting complaints about having to pay for water meters.
Questioned if there was an update on retrieval of2016 records. People have
noticed the Village Sign has been turned off. Trucks are still idling at the
Truckstop. Other Board members advised Steve that this is in violation of both
State and Village ordinances. A copy of the minutes, with this section
highlighted, is to be sent to the Truckstop, Montgomery Co. Sheriff’s office,
and the State Police to let them know that this is being noted and should be
enforced. Steve along with the County Historian and the Preservation League
took a tour of the Opera House in the Donaldson Block (Philbrook Building). This
could help Karen Chaplin and the Fort Royal Foundation to get some grants to
help restore the building.
Fire
Chief- Attached
Public
Work’s- Attached. All hydrants work. Corn Stalks and Pumpkins to be put around
village signs. Remove case on outside wall.
Code
and Zoning- Attached. Board request house numbers be put in report.
Water
Department- Attached. The Trailer Park will have water pit done by September
17, 2018, the village’s part will be done on October 3rd and 4th. There is one other house that doesn’t have a
meter. It is the resident’s responsibility to pay for additional plumbing.
There are a few home’s in Pauleen that need an adaptor to connect the new
meters. The village will pay for the adaptor.
Animal
Control- None currently. Two people are interested.
Waste
Water Treatment Plant- Attached
Zoning/Planning
Board- Received resignation from Arthur Marshall. Motion by Trustee Morford,
Seconded by Trustee Helmin to accept with thanks and regret, All Ayes and No Nays. Motion Passed.
MAYORAL REPORT:
WWTP-
meeting with Fonda September 18, 2018, attached Amended Joint Sewer Agreement.
Opening
Bid- New Truck/Plow:
James Chevrolet- 2018 Silverado $28,587.90
Sands Chrysler Jeep-2019 Ford F350 $28,388.00
No
action taken until able to read over complete bid.
Water
Meter Replacement- Going smoothly. Payments received to date- $17,248.61.
Discussion on how to do next bill. Set appointment with Ti Sales to see how we
can implement what we want to do.
Village
Wide Clean up- October 21 to 26, 2018. Pick up all weeks at homes. Dumpster to
be placed here at the office and available to residents on October 25th and 26th
from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm and October 27th from 7:00am to 12:00pm.
